What is Deepermind? Here we will look at things from a unique point of view, which is includes science and spirituality. End goal is to be fully alive, and deeply understand the meaning of our lives. This is my quest for the Deepermind Web Site. As we explore old subjects from a fresh angle, the words we use continue to hold many meanings. The meanings I have, are translated into English. So it is necessary to identify what meanings are under my words. For example, everyone seems to have their own personal definition of the word "God". On this site, I define God as that center, that reference point, that knowing that is at very our core and beyond. We might picture our consciousness touching the mind, when the consciousness uses the mind or when the mind wants the attention of the consciousness. There are two aspects to the mind, that which is seen from our point of view, and that which is seen by the brain. Somewhere, somehow the mind presents itself, and its sensations to the our consciousness. Lets use an analogy. Visualize a candle. The flame represents God. We are part of the flicker of the flame. The flame is not of this world. Even the physical flame is not a solid, liquid or gaseous thing. It is made up of special type of matter called plasma. Plasma is transparent and does not cast a shadow. Yet we see it as solid. The flame when seen from a physical point of view is plasma, but from a consciousness point of view it is really something from another dimension. Looking for consciousness in the brain is fruitless. Consciousness exists in another dimension. It is not plasma, nor solid, nor liquid nor gas. It is our very self. We can look at the mind from the aspect of consciousness or from the aspect of the physical world. It is the bridge between the two worlds. It is an interface.
So from the material point of view it is the "wetware" of the brain. From our consciousness point of view it is our mind, thinking and interfacing with the body. We have to see the mind with two different eyes. One eye is the physical eye, and the other the contemplative or spiritual eye. The mind is therefore very complex. To have any hope of understanding it, it has to be broken down into parts similar to how we break down a computer into many layers and aspects. One layer interfaces with the body. One layer provides examples for the developing mind and personality. One layer contains the scripts and habits we learn. As we witness ourselves, we can think about our thinking. Thus one layer can look at another layer. The layer that provides the body interface creates a simulation what we think the world is like. But the entire world we think we see is only a simulation. It is a cartooned multimedia presentation that the mind creates for us. The actual real world out there is only a bunch of data. It consists of vibrating energy, including as electromagnetic fields and atomic particles. Thus we see red, but in the real world out there it is only energy vibrating at a certain frequency. So how can I be scientific and believe in God? For me, God is our reference. From a scientific point of view, think of trillions of bits of data in a machine. How does the machine not go into endless loops and blow up? How does it know what goals to seek. How do you prevent data oscillation? How do you prevent high risk situations? How can you bring beauty and love to a machine? By having a true reference, a true pathway. By aligning with God, we bring beauty and love into our lives. We turn to God, we turn to gratitude. We can thank God for all our blessing and still be scientific. Looking at this from a simple scientific point of view, if you want to measure anything with a scientific instrument say a voltmeter, you have to have it calibrated or it is worthless. God is the mind's calibration. It is our authority. Here is proof: The second step in the Alcoholics Anonymous twelve step program says "Came to believe that a Power greater than ourselves could restore us to sanity." If this works for people who are lost in addictive, compulsive and behavioral problems, it shows how the mind really does need a reference. I do not believe in dark forces. You switch on the light, not darkness. Darkness is the absence of light. Without light there would be no darkness, as we would not have any conception of light. But lack of goodness exists and it can hurt. Bottom line, turn to the Light, God and you will be facing the direction of love, truth and a wonderful life. You do have eyes to see spiritual light, do you not? |
